HLC Trustee Vacancy


Post based in Hull

Meetings are quarterly and usually last for 3 hours. There is 1 strategic development day per year, and additional meetings and development will be required. There is no renumeration for this post, but reasonable travel and expenses are available in accordance with HLC’s Expenses Policy.

Humber Learning Consortium are a leading 3rd Sector Learning & Skills provider in the Humber region, with a focus on supporting and developing people in deprived communities, using community based providers.  HLC supported over 3000 people in 2018/2019, are working with over 40 delivery partners in the Humber, and currently hold contracts with a value of over £25 million.

We are looking for committed, and enthusiastic trustees, with the skills and experience to steer and develop the governance and strategy of the Charity. Whether you’re an experienced Trustee or wanting to take your first step at Board level, we would be interested in hearing from you. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with skills and experience in education and learning, finance, safeguarding and legal and regulatory sector.

Expressions of Interest will be reviewed by HLC’s Board by mid February. The Board will contact those applicants they wish to invite to an informal discussion. The informal discussion will be held on HLC’s 18th Birthday on 28th February 2020 (we will be flexible if this is not convenient).  Recruitment will be subject to DBS and identity checks as appropriate.
