The Advisory Centre for Education (ACE) is an independent national advice centre for parents. We were founded in 1960 by Michael Young, Lord Young of Dartington, and are a registered charity.

East Riding Learning Partnership

The Lifelong Learning Action Group of the East Riding Local Strategic Partnership (L.S.P.) is managed by the East Riding Learning Partnership, which was formed in 1999 as part of a national network of strategic, locally-based voluntary bodies tasked with widening participation in learning, increasing attainment, improving standards and meeting the skills challenge.
The Partnership comprises representatives from the local authority, the local Learning and Skills Council (LSC), schools, Further Education (FE), Higher Education (HE) institutions, training providers, careers services and employers, as well as other voluntary and community organisations.

Embedded Learning Portal

Skills for Life Materials for Embedded Learning aim to help learners to improve the literacy, language or numeracy skills they need to succeed at work, in community-based and health-related activities or as part of vocational training programmes. The materials cover 28 vocational, employability, health and community contexts. There are also some interactive materials set in adult contexts and giving practice in some of the literacy and numeracy skills developed in the paper-based materials. The materials are mapped to the Adult Core Curricula for Literacy and Numeracy, the Key Skills Standards and National Occupational Standards wherever relevant.

Foundation Learning Support

Foundation Learning is the name given to education provision at Entry Level and Level 1, and includes the qualifications at these levels within the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). Learners will be offered personalised learning opportunities that help them gain credit at Entry Level and Level 1, on a learning journey leading to a range of appropriate destinations such as Level 2 qualifications, supported employment or independent living.

My Learning Pool

A range of over 20 online training courses for has been launched, covering a range of topics for both individuals and organisations.
