Introduction to Traineeships

Traineeships is an education and training programme funded through the ESFA and co-funded by the ESF, designed to incorporate work preparation and work experience to prepare young people for paid employment or an Apprenticeship, Traineeships to become ‘work ready’. A Traineeship can last up to 6 months.

English and Maths support is also provided for those who have not yet achieved a GCSE grade A*-C or grade 4 or higher. The Traineeship programme also offers the flexibility to incorporate accredited learning to meet the needs of businesses and the local labour market.
