Based at East Riding College on behalf of the East Riding 14-19 Strategy Group, you will lead on all aspects of quality assurance, of assessments carried out for the components of Diploma programmes across the East Riding.
You will have recent experience in the area of 14-19 education and of both teaching and assessing. You will have up-to-date knowledge of the developments of the 14-19 Diplomas and will have experience of working with awarding bodies and meeting their requirements.
You will have well developed interpersonal skills and previous experience of a leadership role.
You will need a Degree, or equivalent, and D34/V1 Internal Verifier award.
You will also have, or be willing to work towards, a teaching qualification.

For over a decade, Hull City Football in the Community programme has provided high quality sporting opportunities for people throughout Hull and East Riding.
As part of an ongoing development strategy the programme is about to embark on a three year health and well being project that will use sport and physical activity to improve the lives of local communities.
Working in partnership with NHS Hull, NHS East Riding, Hull City Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council this project will look to raise awareness and influence positive life changes. In delivering this project Hull City Football in the Community programme aims to establish a national and regional beacon of best practice.
This project will be delivered by five creative and ambitious individuals who are committed to this vision. The project officers (one post available) will have excellent communication and presentation skills, be self motivated and able to use their own initiative.

The Environment and Climate Change Standing Advisory Group is a partnership within ONE HULL. It is one of the four Standing Advisory Groups (the others being Culture and Lifestyle, Equality and Cohesion and Community Empowerment and Engagement) whose purpose is to help ONE HULL to focus on broader cross cutting themes and achieve the priorities in the Sustainable Community Strategy. By bringing together representatives from the public, private and voluntary and community sectors it helps ensure that delivery of the Sustainable Community Strategy and the relevant National Indicators are made possible through partnership working. It also provides a forum through which the opinions and perspectives of the Group partners can be represented on through the ONE HULL Chairs Group.
TIME COMMITMENT
- The Environment and Climate Change Standing Advisory Group meets on a quarterly basis and the selected representative will be expected to attend four meetings per year.
- The selected representative will serve for a two year period as the ONE HULL VCS Forum representative and be expected to work within the protocols and procedures of the ONE HULL VCS Forum.
- The time commitment for this position is approximately 5 hours per quarter, including meeting preparation and attendance at the Environment and Climate Change Standing Advisory Group meetings. Additionally there may be the opportunity to become involved in other appropriate activity relating to the work of this Standing Advisory Group as it arises.
The process for identifying a representative for this position will be via selection and candidates will be required to complete an application form and attend a selection interview.

The Project Coordinators key role will be to provide leadership and direction to the Community Development Workers, who will be giving support to BME communities.
The Coordinator will also provide on-going supervision and appraisal to team members to ensure the effective and sensitive management and delivery of the Team's services.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated with a proven track record of working with the statutory and voluntary/community agencies. You will have an understanding of issues facing BME people who have mental health problems, excellent communication skills and knowledge of community development and be committed to promoting diversity and inclusion. You will also have experience of gathering, analysing and presenting information for reporting purposes. This post may include some weekend and evening work so flexible working is essential.

Hull & East Yorkshire Mind is a large local voluntary sector organisation which provides diverse services for people with mental health issues. The organisation has a successful Training and Employment Division which encompasses a range of contracts won through competitive tender, as well as a commercial Training Service selling training directly to local businesses and service providers. We are currently looking to recruit an experienced and dynamic manager to lead this expanding area of work. This is a key role in the organisation and the successful candidate will also work closely with the Management and Senior Management teams on organisational wide strategic, planning and operational issues.
Taking overall responsibility for the strategic management of the Training and Employment Division, you will manage multiple contracts and play a key role in the further development of the Division. You will possess considerable experience of managing staff and employment/training initiatives as well as working with a wide range of funders. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate and lead a team to achieve contractual targets and possess a commitment to continual improvement. The successful candidate will be an excellent negotiator and will be able to work successfully as part of the wider Hull and East Yorkshire Mind Management Team. Access to own transport is essential.

Oldham Lifelong Learning Service is a thriving and successful provider of adult education with over 8,000 learners on courses per year.
We are seeking hard working family learning tutors in this very successful curriculum area. We will recruit Family Learning specialist to expand the delivery of courses in family literacy, language and numeracy along with wider family learning in schools and children's centres across the Borough. You will be responsible to the Curriculum Manager for the delivery of aspects of the family learning curriculum; you will be contracted to teach an agreed minimum hours per week. There are 6 posts; these are 0.5 pro rata term-time only fixed-term positions until September 2010 in the first instance with a possible renewal subject to continued Family Learning Impact Funding.
You will hold a relevant teaching qualification e.g. Certificate of Education, PGCE, B.Ed and relevant subject specialism e.g. level 4/5 qualification, preferably Skills for Life or commitment to achieving these within the timescale. Experience of delivering family learning is desirable.
For all the posts you will be working across our centres, schools and community venues to deliver to learners, often those who may have experienced barriers to learning and are in need of extra support to assist them to achieve their learning goals. Flexible working hours will be required as our centres are open in the evenings. You will be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, able to motivate people and organise work on your own initiative.
For the EYFS posts you will need an Early Years qualification or working knowledge and experience as an Early Years Practitioner in addition to a current teacher training qualification eg Cert Ed or PGCE/PGDE.
